Lego City Time To Build! Episode 1!

Legocyd1999

Legocyd1999 is a small LPer who has fun, yet informative commentary style.  He is focused on Let's Playing Nintendo Games, with a particular focus on platformers and RPGs, as well as lesser known games from around the internet.  He is also a fast growing Twitch Streamer, who tends to stream Minecraft and more recently Starbound to his channel. His streams tend to be uploaded to his channel the day after they occur.

LPing Style and Equipment

He tends to prefer the classic style of LPing similar to ProtonJon or Chuggaaconroy, which includes being informative while still being funny.  He cannot stand trolls, and will more often than not block off a comments section because people are getting to trolly.  He has also cut entire videos due to the fact that he thinks they are not up to standards on quality.  He uses an Elgato Game Capture HD for console videos, and the Turtle Beach PX22 for audio. On PC games such as Minecraft he uses a Shure PG48 being run through a RadioShack XLR to USB adapter for audio.

LP Inspirations

Legocyd was primarily inspired by Chuggaaconroy, and then grew to like ISneakSometimes, PurpleRodri, and ProtonJon and developed his commentary style around being funny and informative. Since then he has also begun being a fan of NinendoCapriSun, SullyPwnz, Cobanermani456, and YoshiToMario.  When it comes to streaming, he looks up to AWildAbra and SuperMCGamer.

The Nintendo Wiiathon

Also known as the Nintendo Wiiathon for Child's Play, or just the Wiiathon, Legocyd and the other two primary members of Press L to LP gathered to stream for 24 hours of only Wii games to raise money for Child's Play. However, about 30 minutes into the stream the broadcaster crashed and they postponed the stream for 5 hours to fix and recreate layouts now using XSplit. In the end, they only managed to stream for 12 hours as at 6:00 am EST the XSplit Broadcaster crashed, 12 hours after resuming the stream. In total they raised $5.00 for Child's Play, which to them felt like a success. Legocyd has already begun organizing a bigger crew for the next Wiiathon for June/July. The next Wiiathon will be more focused on making sure the games and programs are all being managed while streaming. They will also be opening up to new games, planning to bring in Metroid Prime: Trilogy and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
